Parent-Toddler and Transition Programs
For children
18 months to 3 years
Echo Park's
Parent-Toddler Program
exposes your toddler to art, movement, music, literature and fun playtime
activities.
Interaction between you and your child helps enhance social skills and teaches
your toddler to deal with emotions in a positive manner.
For older toddlers, our Transition
Program separates parent and child for a short period of time. You attend a
parenting session where you'll learn helpful tips for raising happy, healthy
toddlers, while your child spends a little time independently in the school
environment.

Our large classrooms are
equipped with books, blocks, water and sand play stations, art supplies,
computers, manipulative toys and large muscle toys. Our experienced and
caring teachers playfully and creatively direct and facilitate learning
while accommodating a wide range of development levels, interests, learning
styles, knowledge and understanding.
Essential components of the
preschool include classes in music, drama and gym. These "specials"
teach your toddler body awareness, language and listening skills,
self confidence, social skills and expression of ideas and emotions.
Specials are also taught by teachers accomplished in their fields with
backgrounds in child development.
Preschoolers also enjoy daily, supervised outdoor recess on our
well-equipped playground.

"We chose Echo Park because
my kids could become comfortable with the school, teachers
and separation from us before actual pre-school began. By the
time my son went through the parent-toddler program, transition class,
and the terrific Echo Park summer camp, he was ready and excited to
start pre-school at Echo Park." MARLA McGRAW |
Kindergarten
